Roy Leiford Lester Sr., 79, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 27, 2026. He was born in Pisgah AL on Dec. 8, 1946, to the late Grady Burton Lester Jr. and Maggie Ruth Pemberton Lester. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Billy Ray Lester.

Roy enjoyed riding motorcycles and tinkering on engines. He loved watching westerns on TV.

He is survived by his loving wife, Anna Adams Lester; son, Roy Lester Jr. (Paula) of Tullahoma; granddaughter, Katherine Lester of Florence Co.; grandson, Dominick Carter of Tullahoma; great granddaughter, Kynlee Williams of Canon City, CO; sisters, Betty Hughes of Flintstone GA and Gail Hays of Rossville, GA; brother, Gary Lester (Trish) of East Ridge, TN; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The funeral service will be Saturday, May 9, at 2 p.m. with Pastor Tim Parson officiating. Burial will follow at Monteagle Cemetery. There will be a period of visitation with the family on Friday, May 8, from 4-8 p.m. and again on May 9 from 9 a.m. until time of service. Military honors will be provided by the Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard.
