Mary Ellen Mince, 80

Tracy City resident Mary Ellen Mince, 80, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2026. She was born in Tracy City on September 19, 1945, to the late Silas Paul and Mable Nunley Guyear. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Jimmy Mince; sisters, Margaret (Jimmy) Bronstetter and Betty (Dan) Condra; and brother, Larry Guyear.

Mary was a local business owner with her husband and together they owned the Sears Catalog Store and Heritage Furniture Store. She was a member of Tracy City Methodist Church and was President over the United Methodist Women’s Group at Tracy for many years. She was lovingly known as “Mur” and “Nanu” by her family and friends. She enjoyed planting flowers in her yard and was very loved by her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Leigh (Harold) Muir; grandchildren, Brittany (Jonathan) Carreto and Bethany Dixon; great grandchildren, Kohen Taylor and Estella Carreto; sister, Vicky (Mike) Green; brothers, Paul (Carlene) Guyear, David (Sherry) Guyear, and Bobby (Marion) Guyear; and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life was held on Friday, April 10, 2026, at Cumberland Funeral Home in Tracy City.
