Tennessee’s South Cumberland Chamber of Commerce would like to clarify recent misconceptions regarding the Monteagle Mountain Market.

According to the Chamber, one of their board members mistakenly reached out to Imagine Monteagle, which has led to some confusion. The confusion caused some members of the board of mayor and aldermen in Monteagle to believe that the Chamber may be ending its sponsorship of the long-time event. However, the Chamber says there is no truth to the rumor that they are not going to support the annual event.

“We want to be clear: while discussions about the future of the Monteagle Mountain Market as a chamber event have taken place, no decision has been made to discontinue this event,” their official statement reads. “We recognize its significance to our community and its value for our members. We are open and eager to engage in a conversation with the City of Monteagle to establish a partnership that benefits all parties involved.”
