The fifth annual Grundy County Youth Deer Rally will be held on Saturday, October 29, at Ministry Baptist Church in Pelham from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Officer Selvog of the TWRA will be on hand to check-in deer for successful hunters.
There will be a number of fun activities for young hunters and all youth including 3D archery, skeet shooting, rifle range, guessing games, and a bouncy house. Several fantastic prizes will be given away at the conclusion of the event including a Ruger bolt action .243 rifle, two .22 caliber rifles, a single shot shotgun, tree stands, hunting blinds, and much more. There will also be prizes for non-hunting youth including a flat screen TV and a gift card.
Chili, hot dogs, desserts, and drinks will be provided. The church is located at 28226 State Route 50 in the old co-op building. The event is free and open to the public, so bring the whole family and come join in the fun.
