Once again, the kind and caring staff and management of Sheltering Arms and Palmer Clinic stepped up to the plate to help make Miracle on the Mountain Play Outside Park a reality. The staff and management braved the 91-degree stifling heat to sell food and lemonade at the Palmer Labor Day Celebration with all proceeds going to Miracle on the Mountain. Face painting was also offered. Almost $300 was raised.
More than 4,000 children with special needs under the age of 18 live in Grundy County, and surrounding counties. Today, there are no truly accessible playgrounds, few recreational facilities and a lack of organized sports leagues to meet the needs of our young children with special needs. If you, your church, youth group, or club would like to help raise money for Mom and Pop, please contact them via their Facebook page. Anyone can make a donation at any Citizens Tri- County Bank branch.
