Vandalism at Old Sand Plant

Reward offered for information leading to arrest and conviction

On June 10, Marion County sheriff’s deputies responded to a vandalism call at the old sand plant on Highway 150, outside of Tracy City. Deputy Amanda Campbell reports that upon arrival at the scene, Wesley Green, owner of Green Logging, said that when his crew came to work, they discovered equipment had been damaged. 20150610_085854

The Marion County Sheriff’s Department incident report shows damage to equipment, including John Deere tires, windshields, hydraulic systems, and more, totaling $55, 808.

Green’s crew had left the jobsite at 4 p.m. the previous day, returning the next morning to find the damage.

A $5,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the persons responsible for the vandalism. Please call 423-942-2525 with any information.
