TSSAA Sets Regions

The TSSAA announced last week its tentative list of regions for classification during the 2021 and 2022 football seasons. In addition, it has tentatively set the districts and regions for basketball, baseball and softball for the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 school years.
Football will continue to have six classes with 49 schools per class. TSSAA has projected Grundy County to be in Region 4 of Class 3A with Cannon County, Community, Giles County and Sequatchie County.
Basketball, baseball, and softball will be divided into four classes for the first time in the history of the TSSAA. The classes are evenly split in these sports as well, with 83 schools in each class. Grundy County will in Class AA, as well as District 7 and Region 4.
Grundy County will also be in Class A/AA for cross country, as well as Class A for golf.
District 7 will be made up of Cascade, Community, Forrest and Grundy County. District 8, which is the other district in Region 4 will be made up of East Nashville Magnet School, KIPP Academy, LEAD Academy, Pearl Cohn, Republic, Stratford and Whites Creek.
