Tracy City Police Chief Charlie Wilder recently announced that the police department would receive new bulletproof vests. The new vests, made possible through a donation in memory of Bud Werner ($1,000), matching federal grant money ($700), and money from the city, will replace the vests officers are currently wearing. Wilder says the new vests have already been ordered and will offer better protection for his officers.
