Mountain T.O.P. is applying for a Housing Preservation Grant through the USDA. This grant would give Mountain T.O.P. a sum of money that would be used in Grundy County to do minor and major home repair using volunteer labor.

Mountain T.O.P. and the USDA have established a relationship with one another and with many families in Grundy 0county to make home improvements. Because of their use of volunteer labor, all monies granted are applied toward materials. This practice allows the money to help many more families.

Mountain T.O.P. desires to pursue this grant because it will allow them to help your families and friends who may not qualify for grants or loans otherwise.

To qualify for this grant it is necessary to announce its potential to the area in which we will serve and receive feedback from the community. If you have any comments on whether Mountain T.O.P. should receive this grant and why, please mail them to Tennessee Outreach Project, P. O. Box 128, Altamont, TN 31301, or drop them off at their camp on old Highway 56 in Cumberland Heights between Altamont and Gruetli-Laager. The deadline for submitting supporting letters is February 5.
