Zac Campbell, FFA member and rising Grundy County High School junior, attended the first ever TN Agriculture Leadership Summit in June. The event was sponsored by Tennessee Farm Bureau and hosted by Tennessee Tech University School of Agriculture in Cookeville. The program replaced the longtime National Leadership Forum that was historically held in Searcy, Arkansas. Zac was spon-sored by the Grundy County Farm Bureau Organization. Students in attendance learned about differ-ent leadership styles, agricultural policy ranging from processing to marketing, and worked collabora-tively with other individuals and organizations. There were a wide range of activities and service learning projects held throughout the week. The summit is offered to Tennessee agriculture educa-tion students, FFA members, and 4-H members. Students are generally rising juniors and seniors. Zac states it was an experience he highly recommends others to take advantage of in the future.
