Upon responding to a tip that a fugitive was at 133 Sims Street in Tracy City, deputies asked if the person they were searching for was there. They were told no.

“Our deputies asked for consent to search for that person inside the residence,” says Grundy County Sheriff Clint Shrum.

After being given the okay to search, deputies came across marijuana, pills, meth, and a firearm.

The property is owned by Tracy City Mayor Larry Phipps, who had no idea about the drug operation.

“My first reaction was I couldn’t believe this was happening on my property,” says Phipps.

The mayor says he will demolish the trailer.

Four people were arrested in conjunction with the bust including Jeremy Hill of Tracy City, Tracey Johnson of Jasper, Amy Ledford of Tracy City, and David Sweeton of Sequatchie.13238875_1050953004980577_7873013931948020185_n

Charges for each individual include manufacture; possession of drug paraphernalia; possession of Schedule II drug; possession of a firearm; and simple possession/casual exchange. Hill, Ledford, and Sweeton were additionally charged with unlawful carrying or possession of a firearm.
