The Grundy County Grand Jury handed down three original indictments presented by Grundy County Sheriff’s investigators during their last session. Indicted were Jeff Teal (39), Sunshine Wiseman Teal (36), and Susann Irvin (51).
Grundy County Sheriff Clint Shrum stated an operation launched several months ago is responsible for nabbing these three and another unnamed suspect who has not been served. Irvin, was arrested back in February of this year for criminal conspiracy to sell a controlled substance. When investigators arrived this time to serve the indictment on Irvin, they found her again in possession of various types of pills including what they believed to be morphine and Xanax. Sheriff Shrum said these pills were bagged for resale.
“Some people just don’t get it, and some just don’t care,” commented Shrum. “There is one thing you can count on, we are going to keep hammering away until they realize we mean business.”
Irvin could also face TennCare fraud charges.
