On January 14, Sheriff’s deputies found a bit more than they anticipated when they arrived at 359 Caldwell Lane in Palmer. Deputies were attempting to serve the order on Kirby Wideman, 43. When they arrived, Wideman, along with Blake Meeks, 38, also from Palmer, and Eugene Bivens, fled the residence on foot.
Sheriff’s deputies gave chase, taking Meeks into custody. During the chase, Terry D. Caldwell, 34, arrived at the scene. When approached by deputies, Caldwell threw the keys to the vehicle he was driving through the trees and attempted to flee. Caldwell was immediately taken into custody.
A small amount of drugs, believe to be methamphetamine, was found. A consensual search of the residence found Caldwell to be in felonious possession of 22 firearms, one of which was stolen from Rutherford County.
Arrest warrants were issued for Wideman and Bivens.
Wideman was taken into custody last week without further incident. The ATF is assisting in the case with Caldwell.
