Theft ring discovered by local law enforcement

Drugs, guns and stolen goods discovered when serving an arrest warrant

A Thursday night attempt to serve an arrest warrant on Coal Street, in Tracy City, gave law enforcement the break they needed to solve at least five burglaries and thefts in the Tracy City and Monteagle area. Sheriff’s investigators along with officers from the Tracy City and Monteagle police departments spent the weekend recovering several stolen items. Also recovered at the scene were 12 firearms and 31.9 grams of methamphetamine.
Those charged include:
Sara Hartsel, 34, Coalmont – Possession of Schedule II drugs and drug paraphernalia.
Stephen Ray Orange, 43, Tracy City – Evading arrest, Aggravated Assault, Possession of Schedule VI drugs.
Anthony Lee Parsons, 40, Tracy City – Theft over $5,000. Outstanding warrants for Possession of Schedule II, drug paraphernalia, reckless driving, driving on revoked (8th offense), felony evading arrest, resisting arrest.
Joshua Shane Parsons, 38, – Theft under $1,000
Caroline Seagroves, 37 – Fraudulent use of a credit card
Jason Seagroves, 40 – Unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of stolen property
Their first appearance in curt is scheduled for December 12, at 9 a.m.
