Concerned neighbors alert police to odd behavior
Tracy City police officer Keith Cencelewski responded to a call from concerned neighbors on Plainview Lake Road in the early morning hours of April 13. At approximately 4:30 a.m., the department received calls about a woman, possibly intoxicated, in her yard with a gun.
Upon arrival, Cencelewski found Rosemary Taylor, 53, of Plainview Lake Road, in her yard, and reported that she said she was seeing people in trees.
The officer took control of the situation, disarming Taylor. A search of her person found prescription pills (prescribed to her), over $5,000, a loaded handgun, and a loaded shotgun.
Cencelewski arrested Taylor, who was charged with being under the influence while in possession of a handgun.
In a later conversation, Taylor told the Herald that she also called the police department to report intruders.
Tracy City Police Chief Charlie Wilder says this is an active investigation with more charges pending.
