On July 30, the annual Tate reunion was held at the Tate home place in Freemont. Descendants of George and Margaret Dyer Tate gathered to celebrate their family heritage on the property that has been home to five generations of Tates. Freemont has been home to members of the Tate family for 100 years. Among those present was the oldest family member, Mildred Brown Tate, who will be 97 in September, the third child of George and Margaret. The youngest member was 5-day-old Hunter Dean Tate, son of Dustin and Libby Tate of Coalmont. Family and friends enjoyed a covered dish luncheon and shared many family memories.
