State Representative Paul Sherrell (R-Sparta) has announced his support of Bluegrass Underground’s decision to move to a new and permanent home at The Caverns near Pelham.
Grundy County and Tennessee’s newest entertainment attraction is scheduled to open in 2018. With its remarkable setting, The Caverns will enhance the concert experience for Bluegrass fans and music lovers while also accommodating larger audiences in response to increased demand for tickets.
Bluegrass Underground is an international concert destination and 13-time Emmy award-winning Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) music series. It currently originates from the historic Cumberland Caverns in McMinnville.
During its distinguished tenure in Warren County, the series has attracted more than 150,000 patrons to the area. Businesses in Grundy County and surrounding areas should benefit from an increase in tourism generated by the move.
“I appreciate the success Bluegrass Underground has been able to achieve during its time in Warren County, and believe the move to Grundy County is also very exciting news for music fans across our region and state,” said Sherrell. “I know tourists and musical enthusiasts will swarm to this exciting new venue because it provides an electrifying atmosphere for those who crave high quality entertainment.”
Bluegrass Underground officially celebrates its 10th Anniversary next year. As many as 50 performances are anticipated in 2018. Additional information about Bluegrass Underground is available at: http://bluegrassunderground.com/acclaimed-music-event-bluegrass-underground-moving-new-permanent-venue/
