In an effort to prepare for the transition in the new detention center, the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, along with the District Attorney’s Office, is reviewing all outstanding criminal warrants.
Additionally, Sheriff Shrum suggested that anyone who may think they have an outstanding warrant or summons contact the sheriff’s office immediately.
“Right now would be a real good time to take care of any outstanding warrants anyone may have. With the guarantee of a new detention center and with overcrowding not being an issue at the onset of moving in, warrants served during that time will more difficult and time consuming to navigate through the system.”
Anyone who thinks that may have an outstanding warrant or criminal summons is encouraged to come by or call the Sheriff’s Office at 931-692-3466, ext. 3.
