SCV honors Confederate Memorial Day

Cumberland Mtn. Rifles, Camp 386, Sons of Confederate Veterans, Tracy City, observed Confederate Memorial Day on June 3, which is also the birthday of Confederate president Jefferson Davis. On June 2, members of Camp 386 cleaned the graves of Confederate soldiers in area cemeteries, as well as placing flags on the graves on Saturday and Sunday. The graves of a Revolutionary War soldier and a Union soldier were also located and decorated with American flags. The Sons of Confederate Veterans is committed to the preservation of not only Confederate graves, monuments and statues, but all historical and military monuments, statues and graves.
