Yellow Jacket head football coach Casey Tate was elated with the competition and the turnout to support these kids and the football program. Coach Tate had this to say about the event:
“Congratulations to the players and the cheerleaders who participated in our third annual Big 8 All Star games. We had a great turnout by the community and that is the positive support the kids of our county need. We had two great games and having the players from all across the county playing together is what this game is all about. I would like to thank Dewayne and Kelly Lusk for their help in organizing the game. I would like to thank Chris Grooms for announcing the game for us. Last, but certainly not least, I would like to thank officials Fred Ladd, Michael Gipson, James Barry, and Jeff Rollins for working these games and donating their fee back to GCHS football.”
