During the 2018-2019 school year, the Principals of Grundy County schools participated in a competition to determine which school could maintain the highest attendance rate. Pelham Elementary School received an attendance trophy signifying their achievements in attendance throughout the school year, coming in first place six out of nine months in competition. Congratulations to PES for winning again in April.
The attendance goal for Grundy County Schools is at least a 95% attendance rate. While each school has met, and at times exceeded this goal, PES has con-sistently risen the standard in terms of their school’s attendance rates.
Helping Principal Jamie Hill receive this honor was Kindergarten teacher Holly Bryan who is retiring at the end of the 2018-2019 school year. This award was presented the PES Kindergarten graduation celebration.
