Order of Confederate Rose

On April 28, Cumberland Mtn. Rifles, Camp 386, Sons of Confederate Veterans, sponsored the chartering of Mountain Rifle Roses, Chapter 28, Order of Confederate Rose. The ceremony was held at the Chapel at Still Waters Mountain Retreat, in Tracy City. The mission of the Order of Confederate Rose, or OCR as it is referred to, and which is open to women, men, girls and boys, is to aid the work of the Sons of Confederate Veterans in honoring the memory of Confederate soldiers. The OCR also works in school programs, museums, festivals, cemeteries, and other areas where they can promote true Southern history and heritage.
