On May 25, family and friends gathered for a candlelight service at the Orange Hill Cemetery to recognize loved ones rest-ing in the cemetery and honor those who sacrificed their lives for our freedom. Brother Ray Winton and Brother Jessie Lockhart offered inspirational words and Dean Lay and his crew provided the tent and chairs for the service.
Peggy Griffith and Billy Hargis supplied refreshments and Sergeant Major Larry E. Williams and Gayle VanHooser helped with the service.
The Veterans from the Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard performed a tribute to the men and women who served and died protecting our country. And, children placed candles on the graves of the veterans.
