Officers Discover Marijuana Plants

MarijuanaAfter a two-week investigation led by Investigator Andrea Davidson, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department seized 110 marijuana plants on July 14. Officers searching a secluded area off Highway 156, close to the Marion County line discovered the plants – ten four-foot tall marijuana plants with a street value of approximately $110,000.The sheriff’s office did not identify any suspects and the investigation is on-going, said Sgt. Chris Guess. “The plants will be incinerated and disposed of locally,” reported Guess.
