Nettie Geraldine Gibbs, 85

Nettie Geraldine Gibbs, 85 of Taylorville, Ill., went to be with her Lord at 10:09 p.m. on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at her home in Taylorville, surrounded by her family.

Geraldine was born on August 19, 1937, in Pelham, Tenn., to the late Morris Hill and Leora Lane. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, sisters, and one granddaughter, Stephanie McGee. She was married to Edwin R. Gibbs of Taylorville. Geraldine is survived by her five children: Judith Hill of Taylorville, Ill.; Janice Ramirez (Peter) of Garden City, Kan.; a son, Chris Gibbs of Hayes, Va.; Laurie Reische (Nathan) of Rochester, Ill.; Maria Gibbs of Taylorville, Ill.; as well as twenty grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
