She was of the Baptist faith and was born in Beersheba Springs on May 29, 1928 to McKinley and Elease Walker Richardson who preceded her in death along with her husband, Richard Henry Childers; son, Raymond Richardson; sisters, Cleo Bouldin, Mary Jane and Iola Grace Richardson. She is survived by her sons Melvin (Elaine), Richard (Kim), Ted (Peggy) and Ralph (Kay) Childers; daughters, Donna Childers, Wanda (Bruce) Meeks and Patricia (J.L) Smith; daughter-in-law, Cathy Richardson; sister, Hazel Richardson; 19 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.Funeral services were held Thursday, May 1 in the funeral home chapel with Minister Alton Scruggs officiating. Burial was in Altamont Cemetery.

He was born in Sewanee, TN on January 16, 1945 to George Washington and Ella Mae Rust Anderson who preceded him in death along with his brothers, George, Charles, Buck and William Anderson; sisters, Nancy Mae Alley, Patricia Anderson, Sallie Rachel Anderson. He is survived by his sons, Claude Leon “Smiley” Anderson Jr. and Brian Jason Anderson; daughters, Melissa K. She was born in Beersheba Springs on May 24, 1913 to Morgan and Elizabeth Creighton who preceded her in death along with her husband, Robert M. Arnett; sister, Martha Sue Miller; brothers, Arthur, Tom, Earl, James and Leonard Creighton. She is survived by her daughter, Martha Lynn Buchanan of Miami, FL; sister, Mary Kinser of Greenback, TN; brothers, John (Wanda) Creighton of Chattanooga and Ralph (Barbara) Creighton of Gruetli-Laager; sisters-in-law, Margaret Cleek Creighton, Tracy City, Mary Lou Roberts Creighton, Chattanooga and Ann Conry Creighton, Chattanooga; several nieces and nephews. Graveside services were held May 8 in the Southern Memorial Cemetery in North Miami, Florida.

BUCKNER, MARY, OPAL, age 87, of Manchester, Tennessee, passed away into rest on May 2, 2014 at the Centennial Medical Center in Nashville. She was born on August 9, 1926 in Pelham, Tennessee to her parents, the late Morgan Haskel Bonner and Bethie Hawk Bonner. She was also preceded in death by her sons, James Buckner and Jerry Buckner and brother, Clifton Bonner. She was a faithful member of the Campground Freewill Baptist Church in Pelham, a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many people. Opal loved going to softball games regardless of the weather and watching Titan and TN Vols football. She also enjoyed going to Pigeon Forge, TN and Ft. Walton Beach, FL whenever possible.She is survived by her daughters, Yvonne Sartain and her husband Willard of Manchester, TN and Shirley Perez and her husband Henry of Wartrace, TN; sons, Dennis Buckner of Pelham, TN and Clarence Buckner and his wife Angie of Hillsboro, TN; one brother, Wayne Bonner and his wife Pauline of Morrison, TN; seventeen grandchildren; many great-great-grandchildren; three great-great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services were held Sunday, May 4 at Campground Freewill Baptist Church in Pelham.
Burial was in Bethel Cemetery in Pelham.
