He had an amazing work ethic, was an outdoors enthusiast, an animal lover and was also passionate about Broncos and boats. He is preceded in death by his parents Herbert Leo and Grace Moore Kent; brother, Ervin Kent; sisters, Brenda Allen, Betty Fore, and Hallie Fore. He is survived by his loving wife Judy Kent; sons, Robert Kent and William (Stephanie) Kent of Chattanooga, TN; daughters, Terry (Patrick) Carmody and Gayle (Richard) Kemp, all of Chattanooga; brother, Tom Kent; grandchildren, David (Dana) Carmody, Hannah (Donnie) Kier, Amber (Brian) Woodall and Anthony Cooper; 3 great grandchildren. DUNN, PAUL, EDWARD, age 61, of Monteagle, TN, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2013 in Emerald Hodgson Hospital in Sewanee. He was a retired truck driver and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was born in Jeffersonville, IN, a son of the late Joseph Lee Dunn and Elsie McClellan Dunn. Survivors include his wife, Suzanne Dunn of Monteagle; brothers, Vernon Lee Dunn of Otisco, IN, Arnold and bobby Dunn of Jeffersonville, IN, Ronald Dunn of Tracy City, Jerry and Larry Dunn, both of Nashville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Friday, December 13 in the Foster and Lay Chapel. Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard concluded the service with full military honors at the funeral home. FULTS, HOLLIS, MCDONALD, “MACK,” 91, died Thursday, December 12, 2013 at his home with his family at his side. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at Altamont and was a US Army Veteran. He was born in Altamont on February 14, 1922 to Albert Hanner and Margaret Ann Gross Fults who preceded him in death along with his wife, Clara E. Campbell Fults; son, Donald Gene Fults; brother, Ray Fults; sisters, Elsie Campbell, May McGee, Estelle Killian, Mabell Campbell, Myrtle Fults, Flora Butner and Hazel Smartt; half-brothers, Robert and Jay Fults; 1 great grandson. He is survived by his sons, Keith (Elisa) Fults and Ronald Dean (Katherine) Fults; daughters, Maxine (Foster) Wanamaker and Kay (Late Jimmy) Barrett; 15 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Saturday, December 14 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Bishops, Aaron Barrett and Keith Fults and State President Cordell Crawford officiating. KALMAR, JOSHUA, LEE, age 30, of Nashville, TN, passed away December 2, 2013 at Loma Linda University Medical Center in Loma Linda, California. He was an amazing son, father, hard worker and friend. His warm, happy, adventurous spirit touched the lives of everyone who knew him. He was preceded in death by his father Funny Stiefel and his grandmother Dot Kalmar. CHISM, MARY, JO, 80, of Germantown, TN, died on December 3, 2013. She was born in Tracy City, TN to William E. and Lena Elliott. She was a teacher with the Memphis City Schools and adjunct professor at the University of Memphis and State Tech of Memphis. She was an active member of Germantown Presbyterian Church, where she served as a deacon for 3 years. She also participated in the Stephen Ministry, Presbyterian Women and Local mission projects and sang in the choir. She had degrees from the University of Tennessee and University of Memphis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Chism. Survivors include her sister, Betty McGovern of Tracy City; three nieces, Glenda Slack, Kelly (Robert) Held, and Melody (Kim) Proemmel and a nephew, Keith (Janese) McCeney; nine great nieces and nephews, Julie (Ken) Nelson, Daniel Slack, Jason (Shannon) Sempsrott, Elizabeth (Russell) Drzak, Christopher Held, Elliott McCeney, Joshua Proemmel, Caleb McCeney, and Callie McCeney; four great-great nephews, Michael (Crystal) Nelson, Cory Nelson, Andrew Nelson and Hunter Nelson, and one great-great niece, Nora Sempsrott. Funeral services were held December 12 and interment was in Memorial Park Mausoleum. SCHOENMANN, RAYMOND, JACKSON, age 81, of Tracy City, TN, passed away Saturday, December 14, 2013 in Life Care of Sparta. He was retired from Tyson Foods and was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during the Korean War, was a member of American Legion Post 74 in Tracy City, and a member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Tracy City. A son of the late William Elbert Schoenmann and Minnie Agnes Tate Schoenmann, he was born in Palmer, also preceding him in death was his wife, Mary Jo Schoenmann; brothers, Charles W. and Glenn S. Schoenmann; sister, Alvenia Luttrell. Survivors include his sons, Steve and Joey Schoenmann, both of Cookeville; brothers, Ernest Schoenmann of Peoria, IL and Carl Schoenmann of Winchester; sister, Edna Kilgore of Monteagle; grandchildren, Stephanie and Brian; great grandchildren, Damion, Dominick, Lillian and Asslyn; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. HUNT, RICHARD, MARK, 32, of Monteagle, TN, died at his home Monday, December 16, 2013. He was born in Flint, Michigan on October 28, 1981 to Elwood Mark Hunt and Phyllis Ann Mullins Hunt. He attended the Mt. Calvary Apostolic Church. He was part of the Exceptional Enterprises family where he was loved and cared for by all the staff who have been a part of his life and his family for the past 10 years.
