The Super 7 regular season ended last week with Pelham Girls and North Boys securing the top seeds for the Conference Tournament at GCHS (Saturday, Jan. 28 through Saturday, Feb. 4). The regular season standings are as follows:

The Super 7 Conference Tournament got underway Saturday afternoon, with four first round games. Game summaries as follows:
Tracy City Boys 44, Coalmont Boys 20
Coalmont Boys hung tough in the first half, but Tracy City got going in the second, behind top scorer, Vince Bryant with 16. Ashton Newsome and Maddox Parson had good games as well, tallying 13 each. Coalmont was led by Drake Johnson with 8, and Kohen McDaniel and John Cagle with 5 each.
Tracy City Girls 31, St. Andrews-Sewanee Girls 13
Tracy Girls played tough defense, allowing only seven points in the first half, and six in the second half. Top scorers for the Lady Eagles were Brooklyn Roberts with 13 and Kaitlyn Jacobs with 9. Ali Merrell also pitched in 5. The Lady Lions were led by Annabelle Close with 6 and Adeline Pond with 4.
Swiss Memorial Boys 27, Pelham Boys 25
Swiss and Pelham battled to the final horn in the most exciting matchup of day one. Pelham built an 7-2 first quarter lead, but Swiss came back to lead 12-9 at halftime. The second half was close all the way, with Swiss holding a 2-point margin with just seconds to play. Pelham fired a 3 pointer that just missed as time expired, giving Swiss the narrow victory. Swiss was led by Bryson Atha with 11, followed by Zack Meeks with 6 and Xzavier Layne with 5.
North Girls 44, Coalmont Girls 12
North and Coalmont girls took the court in the late game of the evening. North Girls got out to a fast start, building a 17-3 first quarter lead, and a 27-5 margin by halftime. The Lady Warriors were led by Tori Layne with 22 points, along with Lydia Tate's 11. Ellie Foster and Molly Broadway chipped in 4 each.
Monteagle Girls, Swiss Memorial Girls
Monteagle’s girls and Swiss played Monday, and Pelham played the winner of the first-round game on Tuesday. These scores were not available at press time

The Super 7 Tournament continues Thursday, Feb. 2. The Tracy City girls take on North at 6:30 p.m., and the Tracy City boys square off against Swiss at 7:45 p.m.
The girls’ championship game is scheduled for Saturday at 5 p.m. with a consolation game set for 2:30 p.m. The boys’ championship game is Saturday at 6:15 p.m. The third-place game is scheduled for 4:45 p.m. Saturday.
