The South Cumberland Chamber of Commerce (SCCC) will be holding receptions and coffee get-togethers throughout the mountain communities during 2023. The purpose of these gatherings is to become better acquainted with the business owners in each community. The first Chamber Business Coffee was held at Citizens Tri-County Bank in Tracy City, the Colyar Street Branch, on Jan. 18.
The SCCC is invested in helping existing businesses achieve their goals and be successful as well as to unite the communities to promote the entire county’s businesses.
“We intend to have these meetings quarterly,” SCCC Executive Director John Payne said. “The chamber wants to promote economic development across the plateau. Our goal is to not only help businesses here, but to also attract people to come and spend money and help to bolster our local economy.”
