NES Students Examine Owl Pellets

Students in North Elementary School’s LEAPs program dissected owl pellets recently. Owl pellets are regurgitated remains of prey that owls cannot digest such as bones, teeth, and fur. Students dissected the sanitized pellets and found skulls and other bones from moles, shrews, and birds.
