Traveling through your area this past Friday, we stopped at the Subway restaurant in Monteagle for lunch. My husband’s wallet dropped out of his pocket and was left sitting on the seat of the booth as we drove on to Tracy City. We discovered it was missing after stopping at the Dutch Maid Bakery and turned right around, praying, during what seemed like a much longer drive back to Monteagle. The reason I’m writing this to you is because the woman who cleaned our booth saw it, brought it to the front register, and there it was when we returned and asked for it. This could have turned into a terrible day for us, but by the goodness of the Subway proprietors of Monteagle, our day was not ruined; on the contrary, we were lifted up by knowing that people of integrity still populate our wonderful state of TN. My husband and I wanted to publicly thank them for making great sandwiches and being so honest.
