Mountain Archery held another successful tournament June 7 with several shooters in the competition. The group was able to raise $475.00 for the N.A.S.P (National Archery in Schools Program) for the Grundy County School System. This program is to be implemented county wide.
“I can’t say enough about the support from the out of town and local shooters who come to our tournaments. This has been an awesome year for us. Many and I mean many; say that the course and location is great! It takes a lot of work and time away from the family to hold these shoots, but when you have people who come to your tournament for the first time and say that they will be back because of the location and setup: priceless,” said Jason Tate
Tate added that more fundraising needed to be done for the Grundy Schools archery program and the group planned to do another event in September.
Mountain Archery only has two more shoots left in the season. The next will be August 16th and 17th. The 17th they will have a K-45 money shoot. Anyone interested in the event should visit group’s Facebook page for more details at https://www.facebook.com/mountain.archery.
