On May 10 and 11, Mountain Archery held their second State Qualifier in two years for the ASA (Archers Shooters Association) Federation. Over 25 archers qualified and over 50 more came out to Monteagle to lay some carbon in foam.
“Holding these qualifiers allows archers from across the region to come see our course and our community. From our understanding, Mountain Archery is on top of the list to host the State Championship,” said Jason Tate director of Mountain Archery.
Their next tournament will be held on June 7 and 8, which a portion of the entry fees will be donated to the Grundy County NASP (National Archery in Schools Program). There will be an archery team at Grundy County High School next year.
There are only three more tournaments left for Mountain Archery this year. Everyone is encouraged to come out and get the most realistic archery practice out there as hunting season will be here before you know it.
