The 55th Annual Monteagle Mountain Market of Arts & Crafts will be held on July 26 and 27. This event will feature over 100 artisans and crafters displaying their handmade creations which will include: fine art, stain glass, pottery, both fine and primitive furniture, bird houses, paintings in a variety of media, quilts, woodcrafts, toys, jewelry, metal and glass art, hand sewn and embroidered items and much more.
Several demonstrators will be joining us this year and include: soap making, blacksmithing, charcoal & graphite drawing, glass demonstrations, woodcrafts and chain saw carving. Chain saw artists,
Chad Gainey of Florida and Michael McGill of Arkansas, will conduct a Speed Chainsaw Carving Competition at 10:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. each day. Each artist will start out with a piece of wood and be given a specific time to work within to produce a work of art. A great crowd pleaser and the contests will occur both Saturday and Sunday!
Prizes given away every 30 minutes, but you must be present to win. Enjoy live, local entertainment scheduled for Saturday & Sunday, noon until 2:00 p.m.. Kids may enjoy the park setting and train rides around the park.
A variety of delicious food will be available from Beans & BBQ to German Schnitzel & Baklava and everything in between. There will be something for everyone, and both breakfast & lunch will be served.
The Monteagle Mountain Market Arts & Crafts Show will be held July 26 and 27 in Monteagle, behind the Monteagle City Hall, located at 16 Dixie Lee Ave. Hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.
