MGT breaks ground in Tracy City

Groundbreaking on the newest section of the Mountain Goat Trail, which will connect Tracy City Elementary School to Ingman Farm Road, took place on April 10, at TCES.
Present were a number of students from the school as well as the mayors of Tracy City and Grundy City, members of the Tracy City council, and representatives from the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation, the Southeast Tennessee Development District, the engineering firm on the project, Robert G. Campbell & Associates, the construction firm, Thomas Brothers Construction, and the Mountain Goat Trail Alliance.
The two-mile section of trail will connect to the Downtown Tracy City section for a total of 3.5 miles. The project is being funded by TDEC and the MGTA.
