UT/TSU Extension in Grundy County will host the annual Fruit and Vegetable Luncheon Seminars during Extension Month in March. A luncheon seminar will take place each week in March, at the UT/TSU Extension Office, in Coalmont, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Participants are asked to RSVP the Monday before the program that you wish to attend so food preparations can be made.
Topics for the luncheon seminars will include Let’s Grow Together (New Vegetable Varieties and Free Seed) on March 7; Home Fruit Plantings on March 13; Planting Times and Site Selection for Vegetable Crops on March 21; and Soil Fertility in the Garden on March 27. These educational programs will be taught by professionals from the University of Tennessee and all participants will receive literature and information for the day at no additional charge. This will be an excellent way to pick up some new information about vegetable production and start the year off with success.
UT/TSU Extension offers its programs to all eligible persons regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, religion or veteran status, and is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
