honoring hill 2Williams, the flight coordinator, mentioned the loss at the next Board of Directors’ is meeting, at which time board member Rob Moreland, US Army/ Veteran insisted on taking Hill’s replacement hat to him, along with the Manchester American Legion Honor Guard cyclists.

This action served to not only make a Grundy County hero happy, but also the cyclists from Tullahoma, Winchester, and Manchester, were able to honor Hill’s service.

“He was overjoyed that we came to present it to him,” said Moreland. “We talked a while and he showed us memorabilia from his service days. Still a ‘salty sailor.’”
