Weather only allowed the Lady Jackets to get in two games over the last week. Grundy split those games downing Signal Mountain and falling to Sequatchie County. The Lady Jackets are 10-3 overall and 3-1 in the district.

“Right now we are a half game out of first place in the district with 2 games left to play and have a 10-3 record. I’m pleased with where we are right now. Our attitude is great and we are hitting the ball better as a team than we have since I’ve been coaching. Our focus is on May.

200“With so many players accepting new roles this season, I feel good about our position going into the second-half of regular season play. Our second-half schedule will have a lot tougher competition to get us ready for possible post-season play. We have Tullahoma Tuesday, and a double-header against Franklin County on Saturday. Then we have another game against Sequatchie Thursday, Whitwell Friday, and still have two games each against Marion and South Pittsburg.

“We are playing with confidence right now and I really want to see how that is going to translate in this last half of the season,” said Coach Jason Evans.

Monday’s game at North Jackson was rained out. Tuesday the Lady Jackets were set to host Tullahoma barring rain. Thursday they host Sequatchie County at 5 p.m. Friday they travel to Whitwell for a 5 p.m. start. Monday they host Marion for senior night beginning at 5 p.m. Tuesday they travel to Bledsoe for a “Pink Out” game beginning at 5 p.m. Get out and support the Lady Jackets this week!
