Last week’s rain prevented the Lady Jackets from playing any games until Monday of this week but they made that one count crushing Signal Mountain 28-6 in three innings. The win moved Grundy to 2-0 overall and 1-0 in district play.
“We are still trying to get past the early season butterflies. Lack of field time is really showing in our confidence on the dirt. Once we settle in we’ll be okay. Once the girls start playing loose, we’ll become a much better team. With all that being said we are 2-0 and ready to see how much better we can get,” said Coach Jason Evans.
