The Lady Jackets were 3-2 over the last week, dropping two important district games. They still have one to play tonight at 5 p.m., against Notre Dame, and it’s Senior Night as well for the team. Grundy is now 11-10 overall and 6-2 in the district.
“Our defense is keeping us in games right now as we work on tweaking our lineup to increase our offensive production. We’ve scored a lot of runs in the past few games but we still aren’t satisfied with our output. We will wrap up district play this week and be able to start planning where we will sit in the tournament. It looks like we will be either the 2 or 3 seed in the tournament but there is still a lot to be decided. This Thursday is our senior night vs Marion county.
“We will be honoring our three very talented seniors and really hope to end their home regular season with a great game in front of a huge crowd. These three have done a lot for our program and we really hope everyone will come out and show them how much we appreciate all they’ve done over the past four seasons,” said Coach Jason Evans.
