The Lady Jackets had a tough week, losing two of three contests. Fortunately, none were district games and the team remains in first place. Grundy is now 8-8 overall and 4-0 in the district.
“We’ve had some really competitive games over the past week and as a team I feel like we learned a lot in the wins and more importantly the losses. We are in a very competitive stretch of our schedule where we are looking to secure a post-season berth. Our lineup has really come around in the batter’s box since our trip to the Alabama tournament and our defense has really shored itself up behind some very sound performances from our pitchers, Makayla and Bailee. We have the bulk of our district schedule this week and would really love to have a packed house for the Rest of our home games. These young ladies have been working extremely hard and now is a great time to come out and show them your support,” said Coach Jason Evans.
