The Grundy County Lady Jackets had a tough week after a promising start. The Lady Jackets defeated Monterey 49 – 28 last Tuesday night, before dropping three straight games on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. The 1 – 3 week left the Lady Jackets with an overall record of 3 – 9. The Lady Jackets take a break until after Christmas. They will return to action next Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, in the Whitwell Christmas Tournament.
The Lady Jackets used a 25 – 5 third quarter to break open a close game to snare their third win of the year. Teah Bosio scored 12 points to lead the way. Lacy Nunley added 11 markers.
Franklin County 55 Lady Jackets 51
The Lady Rebels and the Lady Jackets played for the second time last Thursday night at GCHS. The Lady Rebels won the first contest relatively easy. This time was a different contest. The Lady Jackets playing in front of the home crowd and a spirited one at that kept things close to the last minute of the game. The Lady Rebels cashed in on 5 of 6 charity tosses down the stretch to hold off the determined Lady Jackets. Lacy Nunley had a big night with 20 points. Teah Bosio chipped in with 17 points.
Summertown 57 Lady Jackets 28
The weary Lady Jackets, playing their third game in four days, traveled to Ravenwood High School in Williamson County to take on the Lady Eagles of Summertown. The talented Lady Eagles overwhelmed the tired Lady Jackets 57 – 28. Teah Bosio led the Lady Jackets with eight points.
Ravenwood 63 Lady Jackets 31
The Lady Jackets traveled back to Ravenwood to take on the host Lady Raptors and the effects of four games in five days definitely took its toll. The hosts used a 20 – 7 third quarter to put this game away. The Lady Jackets besides being leg weary and travel weary played without two starters. Haylee Northcutt led the Lady Jackets with nine points.
