It was highs and lows as the Lady Jackets won the district last week with a win over Sequatchie County and then dropped their next three games. Grundy is now 12-8 overall and 5-1 in the district.
“We’ve had some tough games against really solid competition. Through the ups and downs, this team has stayed together and worked extremely well together.
“Our focus all year has been on being ready come May 1, and these games should have done that for us. I’m extremely proud of everything this group has done all year and hope that we can continue to play as a tight knit group.
“We get to host a district tourney game for the second time in two years, this time as the number 1 seed, and need everyone to come out and support these young women. They are a great group and we are very proud of all of them,” said Coach Jason Evans.
Tuesday they played South Pittsburg. A meeting on Wednesday will determine who they face in the first district game and when the game will be held. Get out and support the Lady Jackets this week!
