Judge dismisses 12 Tracy City drug charges

Twelve cases from an August 2017 drug roundup have been dismissed. The twelve dismissals were all Tracy City cases.
On August 8, 2017, more than 40 officers spread across Grundy County and parts of Marion County arresting 29 people on charges ranging from failure to appear to the sale and distribution of controlled substances. Of those 29 arrests, the following 12 people had their charges dismissed on February 12, by Judge Thomas Graham.
Timothy Lee Smartt, felony sale of Schedule II drugs (3 counts), felony delivery of Schedule II drugs (3 counts); Wendy Sanders, felony sale of a controlled substance (four counts), felony delivery of a controlled substance (4 counts); William Dove, felony sale of Schedule II drugs (four counts), felony delivery of Schedule II drugs (four counts); Jerimiah Joshua Myers, felony sale of Schedule II drugs, felony delivery of Schedule II drugs; Clarissa Ann Myers, felony sale of Schedule II drugs (four counts), felony delivery of Schedule II drugs (four counts); James A. Meeks, felony sale of a controlled substance (two counts), felony delivery of a controlled substance (two counts); Ashley Adkins, felony sale of a controlled substance, felony delivery of a controlled substance; Rose Copeland, felony sale of a controlled substance, felony delivery of a controlled substance; Jeremiah Joseph Mullins, felony sale of a controlled substance (four counts), felony delivery of a controlled substance (four counts); Kari Byers, felony sale of a controlled substance (two counts), felony delivery of a controlled substance (two counts); Timothy Gene Smartt, felony sale of a controlled substance, felony delivery of a controlled substance; Jeffery Bryan Travis, felony sale of a controlled substance (two counts), felony delivery of a controlled substance (two counts).
As of press time, Assistant District Attorney Dave McGovern had not responded to requests for information on the cause of the dismissals.
