Meanwhile, the Lady Jackets were unable to make it three for three against the Lady Indians from Sequatchie County, losing 53 – 47 in the consolation game to finish fourth in the tournament.

BCHS 56 Lady Jackets 35
The Lady Jackets played the Lady Warriors tough for two and a half quarters before cold shooting became too much to overcome. The Lady Jackets trailed 33 – 29 late in the fourth quarter before a 6 – 0 run by the Lady Warriors stretched their lead to double digits for the first time since the first quarter. The Lady Jacket shooting woes continued into the fourth quarter as the team went more than eight minutes without a score until Hanna Tate made a layup with 5:32 remaining. The Lady Warriors were able to spread the court and make layups and free throws to stretch the lead late. Junior Kiera Hobbs nailed four three pointers including three in the first half to lead the Lady Jackets with 12 points.
SCHS 53 Lady Jackets 47
The Lady Jackets fell behind by 10 points at the half and couldn’t keep pace with the Lady Indians at the free throw line. The Lady Indians were 23 of 29, while the Lady Jackets were 13 of 26. Kiera Hobbs once again was the leading scorer for the Lady Jackets with 16 points.
Jackets 56 BCHS 46
The Jackets used a 21 – 9 second quarter to propel them past the Warriors and earned a place in Saturday night’s championship game. Sophomore Thaddaeus Blackburn (13) and senior Cullen Anderson (12) led a balanced Jacket attack where nine players scored. The Jackets used a tough defensive effort to earn their second victory in three tries against the Warriors.
CCHS 58 Jackets 43
Just as the Jackets used a big second quarter to get to the championship game, probably their worst quarter of the year cost them a chance to win the district title. The Jackets trailed the Jets 26 – 23 at intermission, but could manage only two points in the third quarter, while the Jets were scoring 16 points to make a comeback extremely difficult. The Jackets trailed 42 – 25 entering the fourth quarter, but even though they scored 18 points, it wasn’t nearly enough to keep the Jets from making it back to back championship titles.
