The start of the season may have been delayed due to weather but when things did start for the Yellow Jackets, they started in the right way. Grundy has opened the season with a 5-0 record and is tearing through opponents.

“Obviously it’s more enjoyable to be 5-0 than 0-5. That being said baseball is a tournament and it’s not how you start, it’s how you finish. Our goal is to make sure we improve daily. When May gets here we want to be playing our best baseball. Starting out hot is great for our kids’ confidence. They feel great when they can see the results of their work. I’m proud of all of them. The guys that aren’t on the field are into the game and playing a role. Our dugout is very active and I’m very proud of each and every player right now,” said Coach Chase Jones.
