Kelsey Arbuckle joins the ranks of Hometown Heroes this week as the Sewanee Lady Tigers begin their basketball season.                 Arbuckle is a 2015 graduate of Grundy County where she played all four years for the Lady Yellow Jackets. She is listed as a 5’ 7” guard/forward for Sewanee.

KelseyLady Tiger Coach Thomas Campbell already has words of praise for the freshman. “Kelsey has been out of practice the last couple of weeks with a back injury, and has just been cleared to do shooting and non-contact only. We’ve been pleased with her thus far, especially how hard she works and her embracing being the best teammate possible. Her injury has her behind in terms of learning the system, but no doubt, she’ll catch up. What we have enjoyed most is watching her mature so quickly as a person. We are glad to have her in our program,” said Coach Campbell.

Sewanee hosts Emory & Henry Saturday at 5 p.m. and Wesleyan, GA at 1 p.m. on Sunday. They have another home game Tuesday against Covenant College at 6 p.m. You can follow Kelsey and the Lady Tigers on the Internet at
