Halloween In The Park

happy halloweenGruetli-Laager will hold it’s fourth annual Halloween in the Park on Saturday, October 18 at the Gruetli-Laager Walking Trail.

Schedule of events:

9:00 a.m. – Miracle on the Mountain / Play Outside Park Benefit Wiffle Ball Tournament. Registration at the Gruetli-Laager Ball Field.

10:00 a.m. – Wiffle Ball Benefit Tournament begins.

12:00 p.m. – Halloween in the Park Festival begins at the Gruetli-Laager Walking Trail.

12:15 p.m. – Costume Parade lineup.

12:30 p.m. – Costume Parade.

1:00 p.m. – Corn Hole Tournament (signup only) $200.00 Grand Prize if at least 10 teams participate.

1:30 p.m. – Elvis impersonator.

2:00 p.m. – Pumpkin Painting Contest begins with pre-carved pumpkins turned in between 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.

3:00 p.m. – Magician Dr. Gary Flegal / Corn Hole Tournament begins.

4:00 p.m. – National award winning G.C.H.S. cheerleaders performance.

4:30 p.m. – Ms. Teresa’s Gymnastics performance.

5:00 p.m. – Awards for Poster Contest, Pumpkin Carving Contest and Scavenger Hunt.

5:00 p.m. – Alivia Jade Fann’s singing performance.

5:30 p.m. – William Tyler Land’s acoustic guitar and banjo performance.

6:00 p.m. – Gruetli-Laager Fire Department’s Haunted Hayride begins.

Everyone is invited to come out and enjoy the fun.

The day will kick off with the Miracle on the Mountain Play Outside Park Benefit Wiffle Ball Tournament located on all 3 of the Gruetli-Laager Baseball Fields. The festivities at the walking trail begin at 12:00 and will continue until 7:00 or until everyone has had a chance to enjoy the Gruetli-Laager Fire Department’s Haunted Hayride.

All day activities include: An inflatable playground, a Scavenger Hunt (with a grand prize), hayrides, and a Needle in the Haystack Game with prizes.

This year, the City of Gruetli-Laager will sponsor a Pumpkin Carving Contest where contestants can bring their pre-carved pumpkins and submit them for a $50.00 prize.

In addition, The Gruetli-Laager Fire Department is sponsoring a Corn Hole Tournament (registration begins at 1:00 p.m. with the tournament starting at 3:00 p.m.) where if at least 10 teams participate the winning team will split $200.00 in prize money.

There will be an apple pie eating contest along with lots of fun and games for everyone to enjoy.

Master of Ceremonies will be Jamie Guffey with D.J. Vegas and vendor’s booths set up to sell a variety of food and goodies. For further information, please contact Mayor Kelly Gibbs at 931-383-9633.
