It’s time to nominate the finest in Grundy’s history for the 2018 Class of the Grundy County High School Sports Hall of Fame. The public may nominate former players, coaches, teams and contributors who were outstanding in their time with GCHS sports programs.
To be eligible to become a GCHS Hall of Fame member, male and female athletes must have graduated from Grundy County High School, be at least 25 years old with the exception of death preventing nominees from fulfilling the graduation and age requirements. They also may not have a felony criminal record.
Someone who is nominated as a coach or a contributor is not required to have graduated from GCHS but may not have a felony record. Teams nominated will be considered as a whole based on their achievements in play.
Anyone submitting a nomination must provide all needed information on the nomination included but not limited to: current contact information for the nominee, statistics, records, honors and other information that explains why the nominee is worthy of being voted into the hall of fame.
When nominating a contributor, persons should list what the contributor has done to promote and or support athletic programs at GCHS.
The nomination period will be from now until April 20, 2018. Nominations may be emailed or mailed to Hall of Fame committee chairman David Lowrie at email@example.com or P.O. Box 7, Coalmont TN 37313. You may also get your nomination to committee members Rooster Brewer, Louie Ladd, Pat Boston, Bobby Gallagher, Shelia Gallagher, Hugh Hill, Ray Winton or Mike Oliver.
2017 will mark the 5th class inducted into the GCHS Hall of Fame. Previous classes are:

Louie Ladd, Ray Winton, Juanita “Fatso” Miller, Big Jim Fults and Coach Ed Cantrell
