SPC Layne Rogers (center) of Gruetli-Laager is shown with PV2 Nathan Kaht of Chicago, Illinois and PFC Alec Mortell from Cary, North Carolina at the Joint Multinational Readiness Center in Hohenfels, Germany. SPC Rogers is a CH-47 (Chinook helicopter) crew chief assigned to Bravo Company 5-158th 12th Combat Aviation Brigade in Ansbach, Germany. He is the brother of Cameron Rogers, an 8th grader at Coalmont School, son of Ricky Rogers of Gruetli-Laager and Kay Layne of Coalmont. Rogers is the grandson of Bobbie and Janie Layne of Gruetli-Laager and the late Joe and Ruby Rogers of Pelham. Rogers is a 2011 graduate of Grundy County High School.
